The story

The six-story Security Warehouse was built in 1903 for about $60,000 for William J. Dean & Co., which distributed farm implements and National Security safes. Its lower level connected to the Great Northern Railroad tracks.

In the mid-2000s it became condos alongside 5th Avenue Lofts, a new building next door. They're joined by a walkway and run as one association.

What stands out

Before you buy here

  • One association covers both buildings (county CIC No. 1428), with parking in a separate condo (CIC No. 1429). Read both sets of documents.
  • Ask for the association’s resale disclosure certificate, budget, reserve study and recent minutes. Minnesota law gives you specific rights around that certificate; see our buying and financing guide.
