The story

Built in 1916 as the Minneapolis Harvester Works, it served as headquarters and manufacturing for International Harvester's Minneapolis division.

The 2008 conversion created 43 condos over street-level commercial space and added three penthouse units on the roof.

What stands out

Before you buy here

  • You'll see Harvester Lofts on rental sites. Those are individual condos rented out by their owners; the building is a condominium. Ask the association about its rental rules and the current share of rented units, which can affect financing.
  • Ask for the association’s resale disclosure certificate, budget, reserve study and recent minutes. Minnesota law gives you specific rights around that certificate; see our buying and financing guide.
